Why ABC-Art Berlin Contemporary?

With around 100 participating galleries from 17 countries, Art Berlin Contemporary (ABC) has developed into the city's premier fair. While ABC operated on an invitation-only format in the past, this near, organizers opened the fair to applicants for the first time, bringing some interesting newcomers into the mix—both from within Germany and from further afield. ABC art berlin contemporary has collaborated with participating galleries on an extensive program, featuring some performances, sound works, film- and theater productions, as well as artist talks.

ABC GWB Veranstaltungs UG:

TheABC GWB Veranstaltungs UG is an association of Berlin gallerists with a common interest in promoting Berlin as an art market and bringing its protagonists together. The association organises Gallery Weekend in the beginning of May and ABC art berlin contemporary in September. Responsibility for the association is with the board of Berlin gallerists supported by the Honorary Advisory Board. Participation is by invitation. ABC, the galleries exhibition, was founded in 2008 and takes place annually in mid-September. ABC brings together a number of individual positions in contemporary art, presented by national and international galleries.
