FRiNGE Festival and Ruhrfestspiele in Recklinghausen:
Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen take place every year from the 1st of May till mid June, the FRiNGE will be held parallel during three to four weeks.
FRiNGE Festival Recklinghausen 2018 Venues:
Main venue is the FRiNGETENT near the theatre of the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen.
Other venues include a foyer of a bank for music programs and venues rented by Ruhrfestspiele for special productions and according to their needs. It is also possible to bring your own venue, if it´s part of the production (like bus, tent etc.). Open-Air performances are also an option. Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen can also help with choosing a suitable venue.
All shows must adhere to industry safety standards.
Further Venues:
The renting of further special venues takes place after the arrangement with the appropriate production.
In case a group considers bringing along their own stage, this will have to be agreed upon with the festival organization. This refers to both indoor and Open-Air productions.

FRiNGE Festival Recklinghausen will be held 02 to 26 Aug 2018 in Recklinghausen, Germany. FRiNGE Festival Recklinghausen offers an innovative platform for the independent theatre scene. The FRiNGE Festival at the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen was founded in 2005 - following the Fringe Edinburgh, the 'mother of all Fringe Festivals'. Since then it has been developing and expanding constantly. Recklinghausen is THE ONE place for Fringe in Germany, since the Ruhrfestspiele as the first initiator brought it here with the support of RWE. The FRiNGE Festival is an inspirational environment for artists and creatives from all over the world. Every year the FRiNGE Recklinghausen offers the off-theatre scene a platform, where quality is always an important factor for selected productions and artists.
