SPOT ART will be held 01 Nov 2016 in Singapore, Singapore. SPOT ART is a high quality, juried international art festival for art students and artists under 30 in Asia that aims to strengthen relationships between artists, art institutions and arts professionals in Southeast Asia. Our event has taken root as a dynamic and meaningful event for the art world, as well as for the general public, where young artists mingle with an international audience of art professionals, art collectors, peers and tourists. SPOT ART is an opportunity not only for artists to be seen and heard, but also for the audience to reflect on their creativity as a sign of our times. It is a time to look and listen to what they are saying, reach out to them as they do to us and offer our support and encouragement as they work tirelessly to enrich and advance our cultural heritage. SPOT ART is a new and innovative addition to the burgeoning art infrastructure in Singapore. SPOT ART is an event and I like events...

Mission SPOT ART 2016:

The mission of SPOT ART is to unite contemporary art students and young artists based in Asia who are passionate about their practice into a cohesive exhibition that provides event participants with the highest quality art experience and a safe environment to explore, understand and interact with the next generation of innovators and leaders in the fine arts industry.

SPOT ART 2016 Focus:

Covering a full range of practices and media, the artists in SPOT ART are inspired by living in Asia, one of the most diverse and provocative centers of cultural activity in the world. The exhibition will focus largely on the creative process and the inventive nature of the artist’s studio and practice. Artists submissions should demonstrate a broad variety of artistic processes and practices, ranging from explorations in color and form, to examinations of ecological, geopolitical, and sociological interests, to meditations on cultural heritage, gender and generational identifications.
