Singapore Contemporary Art Show will be held 19 to 22 Jan 2017 in Singapore, Singapore. Singapore Contemporary Art Show is exciting contemporary art show, held annually in January during 'Singapore Art Week'. Spread over 6,000+ square meters at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Show featured 65 exhibitors from 15 countries, attracting more than 16,000 art collectors and buyers from Singapore, and other countries. Singapore Contemporary focus exclusively on quality contemporary artworks and installation art. The scope includes original paintings, limited editions, sculpture, photography and video and digital art, from some of the worldʼs most interesting and promising artists – from emerging and mid-career artists, to those who have already achieved recognition in private and public collections, and at auction. Singapore Contemporary will be a cornerstone event of Singapore Art Week, that comprises numerous public arts, gallery presentations and public projects. Singapore Contemporary is expected to host more than 90 exhibitors and public art installations over four-days in 2017 - including investment-grade art with a strong secondary market and auction following, plus works by some of the world's most interesting and promising artists.
The scope includes original paintings, limited editions, sculpture and photography, also video and digital art. Singaporean and international collectors and art buyers will see works from career artists, typically priced from S$10,000 to S$100,000 and up.
Artist Dialogues comprises a curated series of solo artist exhibits by a gallery or artist. This will provide the opportunity for collectors and art buyers to meet the artist. Applicants can be a gallery or artist. The exhibited artist must be present at the Show during opening hours. All booths in this section are 20 square meters in size.
“China Encounters”, offers a series of presentations by selected galleries and artist collectives. The exhibited artists, inmany cases well-known and recognized in China, have rarely been exhibited overseas. The applicantʼs principal focus should be the promotion of Chinese contemporary artists. All booths in this section are 24 – 64 square meters in size.
“Photo17” presents high-caliber exhibits concentrating on fine art photography by established galleries and specialists, to showcase vintage and contemporary bodies of work, as well as solo shows by practicing artists across various genres of the medium, and photographic and book projects. All booths in this section are 24 – 64 square meters in size.
