Tokyo Comic Con (TCC) will be held 22 to 24 Nov 2019 in Chiba, Japan. Tokyo Comic Con (TCC) will celebrate all that is pop culture with international celebrity appearances with stars from hit movies, TV shows and more. Be there for autograph signings, photo-ops, Q&A sessions, dealers with collectible merchandise, comic artists & creators, panels on a variety of topics, gaming, technology and sensational Japanese content. The event is a sister event to Silicon Valley Comic Con. With the connection to Silicon Valley, Tokyo Comic Con too will be a mix of both pop-culture and technology – giving the event a slight twist compared to standard comic conventions. Something unique to Tokyo Comic Con (and it’s sister event in Silicon Valley) is the emphasis on tech. Along with the artists, merchandise, stars and panels, you can expect to see technology playing a big part in the event. Robots, artificial intelligence, apps, new hardware and start-ups will also be part of the mix. Tokyo Comic Con (TCC) is an event and I like events...
It is not just the latest technology that drives the development of pop culture. Tech and pop culture belong together because in many instances the audience that consumes pop culture consists of the very people that drive the technology behind it. Those that are programmers and developers and administrators during the week are the same people that celebrate comic cons during the weekend.
TCC brings together technology that expands beyond pop culture to include the technologies of application development, as well as consumer focused tech advancements such as AI and VR technology and game development. It will be a place where all of these can be explored together.
Tokyo Comic Con will also provide a venue where the leaders in these industries can engage with their dedicated and passionate consumers.
Japan is going to be just as cool. You can expect to be wowed with the following:
