Photo London will be held 15 to 18 May 2025 in London, England. Photo London is a highlight of the UK art calendar. The fair is a focal point for city-wide exhibitions, and events. Photo London was created to give London an international photography event befitting the city’s status as global cultural capital. Founded in 2015, it has already established itself as a world-class photography fair and as a catalyst for London’s dynamic photography community. From the capital’s major museums, to its auction houses, galleries large and small, right into the burgeoning creative communities in the East End and South London, Photo London harnesses the city’s outstanding creative talent and brings the world’s leading photographers, curators, exhibitors, dealers and the public to celebrate photography, the medium of our time. Photo London is an event and I like events...
A hand-picked selection of 84 of the world’s top galleries will participate in Photo London 2020, exhibiting photography for sale from all periods and genres in the spectacular setting of Somerset House, Photo London’s central campus, over a period of four days from 18 – 21 May 2020.
Photo London is set amongst the spectacular neo-classical architecture of Somerset House, on the banks of the River Thames. The building has long been a prestigious home for the visual arts, housing the Royal Academy of Arts in the 19th century then later the Courtauld Institute in the early 20th century. It is claimed that it was here in 1839 that Sir John Herschel first coined the term ‘photography’, making it a fitting location for Photo London.
