Thank you to @baeyyamkeng for speaking up on behalf of SIFA and our artists. Let's keep talking and moving forward on supporting all arts groups in Singapore doing their best to overcome these challenging times. - COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on our arts community. I gave an update in Parliament today about what we are doing to support our artists given that the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) will not be staged this year. The National Arts Council and Arts House Limited will work with the local arts groups involved in SIFA 2020 – namely Nine Years Theatre, The Finger Players, The Necessary Stage and Toy Factory Productions – to explore how they can present their work in innovative ways. These could include webcasts, behind-the-scenes profiling, as well as digital conversations. The Government will be announcing more relief measures to Singaporeans affected by COVID-19, including our arts community. I hope that we can all work together, and support one another during this challenging period.
