PHOTOFAIRS | San Francisco will be held 27 to 29 Jan 2020 in San Francisco, United States of America. PHOTOFAIRS | San Francisco will collaborate with leading international galleries to offer a highly curated exhibition of fine art photography by the most exciting emerging and established artists from across the world. The fair aims to create an intimate and curatorially focused fair that will provide galleries with a strong platform in a city that has a commitment and sensitivity to photography. In addition to galleries showcasing vintage and contemporary photographs, PHOTOFAIRS | San Francisco will host an extensive public program featuring Conversations and Insights. The curatorial team for the Public Program will be announced shortly. PHOTOFAIRS | San Francisco is a highly curated selection of 60 galleries and exhibiting costs are linked to three different exhibiting sectors; Main, Platform and Connected. PHOTOFAIRS | San Francisco is an event and I like events...
Conversations - Artists and experts lead a cutting-edge program focusing on intimate 'in conversations' that examine key themes and ideas seen throughout PHOTOFAIRS | San Francisco.
Insights - The inaugural exhibition will be curated by Alexander Montague-Sparey, Artistic Director of PHOTOFAIRS. Insights is a non-profit exhibition that will explore a new theme each edition. Insights will explore New Perspectives in Photography since 2000 and will focus on artists who make work which is unique or artists who have moved away from the standard silver gelatine or chromogenic prints which have become the norm for contemporary photography.
