Beethovenfest Bonn will be held 20 Aug to 10 Sep 2021 in Bonn, Germany. Beethovenfest Bonn is one of the most important ambassadors of Bonn's culture, and is among the finest cultural orchestras in Germany. It also successfully promotes the city's musical image through regular tours abroad. The symphony orchestra performs important artistic functions at the annual Beethovenfest, and is the orchestra of Bonn's famous Opera House. Every year in the autumn, Beethoven's native city of Bonn celebrates the Beethoven Festival (Beethovenfest), welcoming top international orchestras, well-known soloists, major ensembles, and promising young performers. Beethovenfest Bonn organisers feel a responsibility to contribute to the shaping of the repertoire of the 21st century; every year it commissions new works. The Beethovenfest is innovative in its approach to Beethoven and his oeuvre, seeking to promote new ways to confront the composer and his work. The tradition of the Beethovenfest in Bonn goes back to the year 1845, when a three-day long music festival to dedicate the Beethoven monument took place in the Münsterplatz on the occasion of the composer's 75th birthday. Beethovenfest Bonn is an event and I like events...

Beethovenfest Bonn 2020 sides:

This year‘s programme has two points of focus predefined by the great European revolutions. The Toulouse National Orchestra (ander Tugan Sokhiev) and Les Siècles (under François-Xavier Roth) stand for the French Revolution, the Ural Philharmonic (with Boris Berezowsky) and Vladimir Tarnopolski’s ensemble for its Russian counterpart. The striking cornerstones are Étienne- Nicolas Méhul‘s ‘Coronation Mass‘ for Napoleon and Sergey Prokofiev‘s ‘Cantata for the 20th anniversary of the October Revolution‘. The revolutions in the Arab world, whose consequences are presently convulsing Europe, will find expression in music, words and dance. And revolutionary aspects join forces in Post-Modern American Dance, a co-production with the Cologne Philharmonic.
