Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay will be held 04 to 29 Oct 2023 in Saguenay, Canada. Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay international meeting of photojournalism was born in 2010. This first Canadian festival dedicated to photojournalism was established by the International Group Photo and La Pulperie de Chicoutimi, Musée du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, from a concept by photographer Michel Tremblay. International Photo Media Group (IPGM) is a non-profit organization (NPO) whose mandate is to promote photography. To do this, IPGM offers various products to reach professionals, amateurs, and enthusiasts of photography. Since the beginning of the Festival, La Pulperie de Chicoutimi played a key role, especially thanks to the expertise of its staff. It is this expertise that has enabled the Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay to present exhibitions with standards specific to museums. Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay is an event and I like events...
Wide View presents a unique perspective on contemporary issues brought to life by photojournalists from here and elsewhere. This new tool from Zoom Photo Festival is a publishing platform that will evolve over time and provide new resources for photojournalists so they may tell their stories in their own way.
This international call for applications is open to professional photographers and photojournalists of all nationalities. There is no theme. To participate, please send your application before 31 May . Do not forget to include a document with your name, a brief biography and contact information. Please note that this call is different from the Human Nature photo contest. The photo contest is open to both the general public and professional photographers. If you are an amateur or professional photographer and have worked around our contest theme, we invite you to participate in the contest.
The contest is part of the Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay, International Meeting of Photojournalism.
The theme, Human nature, proposes a look at the way Man, in the largest sense of the word, can be influenced by his environment, that is to say by the conditions, both natural and cultural, that make up the frame of his life and that are susceptible to have an impact on him.
The winning photos, which are chosen by a jury, will be exhibited during the Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay. They will also be presented at the Maison du développement durable in Montreal. Participants must submit their photo journalism entry, which should include a minimum of 20 photos.
