Designblok will be held 07 to 12 Oct 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic. Designblok is one of the largest and most prestigious events of its kind in Central Europe and Prague offers a good example of it to other European cities. This selective show is dedicated to design in all its forms. This indoor exhibition offers a fashion show, displays of jewelry, clothing, furniture, home furnishings, lighting, and industrial and utilitarian design from top designers. Designblok represents not only individual creators, but also design studios, schools, and visionary projects from international brands. The last week of October will offer exhibitions, contractual and marketing presentations, direct sales, encounters with professionals, media, trends, visions, plus a lab of the future. Prague Exhibition Grounds, Prague 7:
A unique space, which governs the Designblok Superstudio and Openstudio Industrial Palace in Prague Exhibition Grounds area. Exhibition area near Prague Stromovka for a week turns into a parade formation of renowned Czech and world brands and designers.
Superstudios is located in the right wing and the central hall of the Art Nouveau building of the Industrial Palace. Glazed buildings with steel construction architect Frederick Münzberger becomes the main exhibition space and visitors will find the usual news from furniture, home accessories and lighting in the administration of prestigious brands.
Openstudio located in the left wing of the Industrial Palace and the yearly showcase space for the creation of more than a hundred designers, design studios from many European countries and prestigious media. In Openstudiu they are presented primarily prototypes and products without any commercial manufacturer. The show is also attended art school, which represent the best work of students.
Openstudio part of the exhibition is also the best diploma resulting from competition Diploma Selection and profile exhibitions of selected domestic and foreign studies.
Lapidarium:
Unique, original neo-Renaissance building Lapidary turns to Art House Designblok along with the Spirala Theatre, which for the third year will host projects on the border between art and design. Art House is annually the place that should not miss any art collector and extraordinary experiences.
All producers, distributors, design schools, designers and design studios that meet Designblok’s entry criteria may apply to exhibit their products at Designblok. Exhibitors are selected by the Designblok Board of Curators. Applications must be received and meet all of Designblok’s financial and organisational requirements stipulated in the contract. Applicants must submit a completed application form a brief description of the presentation that must include reference to the product, along with the names of the designers/architects responsible for the presentation’s design. However, individual exhibition areas are assigned on a phased basis . The applicant becomes an exhibitor upon signing the contract.
Designblok attendance has shown a steady annual increase of 10%. In addition to visitors from the Czech Republic, the festival now attracts more and more visitors from abroad, primarily expert distributors, producers and journalists.
With installations located outside Výstaviště, the number of Designblok visitors exceeded 51,000. Designblok’s VIP guests include architects, designers, developers and proprietors of the most prestigious design showrooms in the Czech Republic, owners and managers of prominent companies, journalists, art and design collectors, directors of international design festivals, leading gallerists, directors and curators of important Czech and foreign institutions, prominent politicians, and special clients of participating companies and designers.
