EDM Island in Electric Zoo 2019:

The locale is unique in that it is indeed an island, but it’s one that’s set in the heart of New York City. Found along the East River between Manhattan, the Bronx and Queens, Randall’s Island hosts more than nine miles of prime real estate separate from the mainland. It’s a situation that offers traveling fans the opportunity to check out the city itself when not at the event soaking up the music.

Best of Both Worlds:

Musically, the festival goes to great lengths to present a panorama of sounds to satiate the diverse sonic appetites of its audience.

Artists performed on one of five stages: the main stage, the Hilltop Arena (an enclosed area that replicated a nightclub), the Riverside stage (which was encased in a massive octopus structure) and the Sunday School Grove, an extension of Made Event’s ongoing party that launched in Miami back in 2006. The fifth stage was the somewhat hidden Treehouse area, tucked away on the opposite end of the festival grounds from the main stage

Electric Zoo continues to grow and solidify its place as one of the East Coast’s premiere EDM festivals, offering an idyllic island-in-the-city party destination. 

Tips:

• Visit the visual zoo In addition to being a musical zoo, the festival extends the theme with colorful, animal-themed art installations that are set up across the island.

• Electric Zoo’s festival family Made Event joined forces with global live events powerhouse SFX in 2013, bringing their years of indie experience and credibility to SFX’s growing EDM portfolio that already included Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld, among their many other dance music-related ventures.

• New Zoo, new theme Every year, EZoo presents a new theme to define that particular event.

• Music for the masses Given the considerable size of Randall’s Island and the still-growing popularity of Electric Zoo, expect to get down with a massive crowd of fellow EDM fans.

• Pre- and after-party central Given the NYC locale, Electric Zoo is the catalyst for a slew of before and after parties that kick off on the Thursday night before the festival’s opening day. Many of the artists on the bill can be experienced at hotspots around town such as Webster Hall and Marquee for those who want to keep the party going.
