Until 7 July, Documentary, Animation and Animadoc Films of all lengths from 2025 or 2025 that have not been screened publicly before 1 October 2025 can be submitted to this year’s festival edition.

Starting on 4 April, DOK Leipzig opens its submission call for interactive projects. Festival team look for innovative audiovisual works telling a non-fictional story with technical elements beyond film. The projects may range from webdocs to apps, VR to installations.
All winners of our International Competition for Short Documentary and Animation Films will qualify for consideration for the annual ACADEMY AWARDS provided that the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules.
