Navi Mumbai International Film Festival 2016 goal:

Through different awards in various categories, festival's goal is to discover, support, and inspire independent film makers by providing them a reputed exhibition platform without getting worried about having high budget for marketing. At NMIFF, film makers get an opportunity to connect with industry professionals, market their work and groom the careers in film production, direction, screenwriting and other various aspects of film making.

Navi Mumbai International Film Festival (NMIFF) 2016 Rules & Terms

Entries at NMIFF are open to all International, national, and regional films.

• Duration and Sub-categories of films for Student shorts & Professional Shorts categories :

• Short Film:- Duration should be 45 minutes or less.

• Animation Short :- Duration should be 45 minutes or less.

• Documentary:- Duration should be 45 minutes or less.

• Social Awareness:- Duration should be 45 minutes or less.

• Duration and Sub-categories for Feature Films category:

• Fiction:-Duration should be more than 45 minutes.

• Feature Documentary:- Duration should be more than 45 minutes.

• Subtitles:Films can be with dialog, silent or without dialog.Films other than in English language, must have English subtitles.

Deadlines for submission of films are as follows:

• Early bird: 31st March 2016
• Regular: 1st April - 15th July 2016
• Extended Deadline: 16th July - 15th August 2016
