Why Puccini Festival is special?
40,000 spectators fill a vast outdoor theatre to hear Puccini's operas. Great Open Air Theatre with 3,400 seats, dedicated to Maestro Puccini, opens onto the picturesque Massaciuccoli Lake and is surrounded by a park of extraordinary charm that houses works of art by great contemporary sculptors such as Pietro Cascella, Jean-Michel Folon and Kan Yasuda, to name some. Just a few steps away is the house where the Maestero lived and composed most of his Masterpeaces.
2020 programme of Puccini Festival Italy:
The great Puccini classics Tosca, La Bohème, Turandot and Madama Butterfly in the 2020 programme of the Torre del Lago Puccini Festival.
The 2020 Puccini Festival curtain will rise on July 15 with Tosca with replicas on 6 and 11 August. Tosca will alternate: La Bohème, with three performances scheduled the 16 and 22 July and 5 August; Turandot with three performances 23 and 30 July and 12 August and Madama Butterfly with two performances on July 29 and August 10.
