The objectives of the Association are to promote cranio-maxillo-facial surgery in theory and practice and attempt to establish uniform training requirements for the specialty in Europe and encourage these worldwide. The main aim was to endeavor to ensure that specialist training in oral and maxillo-facial surgery was based on a solid foundation of dual medical and dental qualifications and core training in surgery. The programme will be focused on how technology is leading to innovative techniques within our specialty. We will be exploring in particular the advances in surgical techniques learnt from experience in conflict over the past 100 years.
The Congress Programme will include sessions on Innovation and technology in the following areas:
- Trauma
- Oncology
- Reconstruction
- Facial Deformity Surgery
- Cleft Lip and Palate
- Cosmetic Surgery
