Carlos Urroz is Executive Director of TBA21 (Thyssen Bornemisza Art Contemporary), a Foundation created by Francesca Thyssen Bornemisza for the production, exhibition and collection of contemporary artworks around social and environmental issues. From 2011 to the beginning of 2019, he has been Director of the fair ARCOmadrid. Among his achievements, he led the fair during the years of crisis in Europe, strenghtened the realtonship with South America, created the ‘Opening’ section for young galleries and developed ARCO internationally with the creation of ARCOLisboa in 2016.
