#CarstenHoller is a rationalist. Meaning, he thinks about where things come from and how they make sense. In ‘Decimal Clock (White and Pink)’ (2018) – a functional clock, accounting for 10 hours, 100 minutes, and 100 seconds – he simultaneously investigates the human invention of time, references how time has been measured and understood throughout history, and proposes an alternative method of conceiving and experiencing time.
