Mai La Thai won First Place in the Self-Promo category of the PDN Photo Annual '19 for her website mailathai.com.⁠ ⁠ For La Thai’s website launch, she sent out an email campaign to friends and colleagues with the subject heading “A Site Is Born,” accompanied by an image of a gibbous moon against a pitch-black sky.
