Created during the period that saw the rise of totalitarian rule in Turkey, Guy Martin's "The Parallel State" is a five-year study of truth, reality and lies in contemporary Turkish society. The work combines documentary images of Turkey’s extravagant soap operas with photographs depicting the country’s sociopolitical landscape. “The Parallel State” is currently showing @patterndenver.
