Have you entered our competition yet? Today is your last day to repost an image from our feed, tagging us and @kitteltys of @artgalbal to enter the running! In the meantime, we’re getting excited for Centre of Living Things at Ballarat Botanic Gardens. The research para-institution, founded by Diana Lelonek, collects abandoned manmade objects that have taken on new life as natural habitats for living organisms. These exhibits have been mostly discovered at illegal dumping sites, and explore what becomes of mankind’s overproduced goods after they cease being useful. The Centre For Living Things reintroduces audiences to once rejected and useless objects, as environments for new life, reinvigorated with purpose and beauty once again.
