Since the early 1960s, Lee Friedlander has found poetry in the signs that inscribe America's landscape. Made in cities and small towns from New Jersey to Montana, Arkansas to South Dakota, Friedlander chronicled hundreds of the hand-lettered ads, storefront windows and massive billboards he encountered. An exhibition of Friedlander’s sign photographs is currently showing at Fraenkel Gallery. Hit the link in our bio to see more on #PDNPOTD.
