We at BIFB are proud to bring together two significant female Australian artists, Eugenia Lim & Jane Burton, to exhibit their works at The Art Gallery of Ballarat, and give individual talks on the opening afternoon, August 24th.
Eugenia Lim presents Yellow Peril - a body of work that grapples with the historical and ongoing impacts and influences of mining and immigration on Australian identity.
While Jane Burton’s harrowing landscapes explore a mysterious region of the central highlands, one that requires a spiritual journey to travel to.
Hear about Burton’s art practice at 2pm August 24th, with Lim’s talk following at 2.30. Can't wait to see you there! [Image Credit: Eugenia Lim, New Australians (Yellow Peril, 1980/2015), 2015]
