We are proud to facilitate Dr Fiona Foley’s exhibition Who Are These Strangers And Where Are They Going? - curated by celebrated academic Djon Mundine OAM. This mid-career showcase has been curated to span the renowned Badtajala artist’s illustrious 30-year art-making practice. Who Are These Strangers And Where Are They Going? also incorporates new, site-specific works unique to BIFB, which draw upon 2019 as the International Year of Indigenous Languages. These include a collaborative musical soundscape, immersive installations, critical essays by notable academics, educational resources, and more! Dr Foley’s work will premier on the 24th of August at The Mining Exchange, complete with a celebration open to all, Vernissage, to commemorate the start of Ballarat International Foto Biennale 2019.
