From the 24th of August head to Hop Temple Laneway for Han Sungpil’s Polar Heir; a monumental site-specific work transforming the laneway into a melting iceberg of epic scale. The Korean-born artist brings his celebrated series to Australia in a career first; with an immersive installation that makes the ominous reality of climate change unmissable. Sungpil’s images, documenting 3 years of changing landscapes in the Arctic Circle, probe us to question the intertwined relationships of humanity and ecology.
