Hi @zoecroggon here, looking at the work of Venetian architect Carlos Scarpa. I love Scarpa’s work and for me one of the best things about walking around Venice is that it’s home to most of his elegant and thoughtful designs.
Today at the Querini Stampalia Foundation I was reminded of Scarpa’s link to the Bauhaus through his admiration of Paul Klee, whose paintings he encountered at the 1948 Biennale and continued to draw inspiration from conceptually and formally - testament to the innumerable reverberations of the Bauhaus. ‘Bauhaus Foto’ opens from August 24 at Lost Ones Gallery, 14 Camp st Ballarat.
