@austinleee: ‘Am I dead? If I’m dead I don’t care. If I’m not dead it’s something I haven’t made yet,’ says the artist when asked what piece of art he’d like to be remembered by. Known for his exuberant, vividly colored paintings, the American artist pushes his art towards what he’s termed as a ‘future art movement’ using Medium – Oculus Rift’s virtual-reality program – as a studio to generate VR drawings that he transforms into paintings and sculptures. #AustinLee’s new works, including ‘Floating Flower’ and ‘Family’ (both 2019), were presented by @PeresProjects at #ArtBasel2019.
