@ericgillisfineart sold a Belgian Masterpiece at TEFAF Maastricht 2019 to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, @metmuseum New York. ~ The TEFAF exhibitor was delighted to offer it for sale and to present the opportunity for Belgian art enthusiasts to discover this masterpiece at their stand during TEFAF Maastricht. During the early preview, a team of curators from the Metropolitan Museum of Art came to admire and analyze the work. The museum asked their restorer to study the marble, which is of exceptional quality. The decision to acquire the work followed rapidly.
