Black Box is our strand of experimental & moving image artist works. This year is continues to focus on the environment and the interconnectedness of things. . Three shorts programmes: Communicating Contact - an exploration of film as a medium of sensuous communication. Programme of 10 short including 3 screening from 16mm and 35mm prints. Entangled Experience - presenting multiple perspectives on the material world from the microscopic to the monumental. A programme of 8 shorts, including 5 screening from 16mm and 35mm prints. Politics of Place - a contemplative programme which presents alternatives to traditional representations of landscape, space & place. . And two features: Home in E Major - a deeply personal and quietly poetic documentary about displacement, friendship & the important of home. Vulture - an observational study of farm life from Philip Hoffman which brings together the environmental concerns of this year’s Black Box. .
