We're kicking off our Lughnasadh celebrations with a stunning series of animations exploring the history of Lugh! In this first chapter, we witness the story of Tailtiu, Lugh's foster mother, whose passing catalysed the beginnings of Lughnasadh. In Irish folklore, the Goddess Tailtiu was believed to have cleared the forests of Ireland for agriculture, eventually dying of exhaustion as she worked in the fields. "I love using calligraphic linework in my animations, typically drawing abstract and free-flowing shapes.
