Come on a journey to Orkney through sound and rare archive film footage with an international collective of postgraduate @edinburghuniversity students in film curation, sound design, and composition for screen. ⠀ ⠀ For ONE WEEK ONLY, watch #SoundFromTheEdgeOfTheWorld online - an immersive film and sound voyage inspired by the landscape, traditions and rhythms of island life, featuring the likes of Kirkwall’s famous Ba’ game and archive aerial footage of Orkney. ⠀ ⠀ Originally commissioned to be performed live at @filmhousecinema back in March as part of our 2020 Retrospective #TheBigScore exploring innovation in film scores, the students’ creative collaboration of curating and re-purposing archive footage and creating beautiful experimental soundtracks for the 50-minute film can now be watched exclusively online.
