LOOPFair2020 - The selection We are happy to announce that Galerie C (Neuchâtel) @galerie c will be joining the LOOP Fair again! This time with a video by French artist Sylvain Couzinet-Jacques @sylvain couzinetjacques (Sens, 1983) titled “Sub Rosa” - 2017-2019. Filmed over three years and composed from 120 hours of video, the 12 hours film shows young people who come daily to an abandoned fascist monument. They become the characters of a film without narrative, without time, both anthropological, documentary and choreographic. The film is shot only at sunset swarming with teenagers. The soundscapes are generated by a physical audio sculpture during the whole time of the exhibition. The project has been initiated during Couzinet-Jacques’s residency at Académie de France - Casa de Velazquez in Madrid and has been supported by La Fondation des Artistes and Le Centre National des Arts Plastiques. It has been distinguished by the museum Foam in Amsterdam with the Foam Talents Award in 2018, and in 2019 by the C/O Talent Award.
