Building, Dwelling, Thinking: always a new vision.
Diébédo Francis Kéré, 2017.
For today's appointment we have selected the conference of Francis Kéré held at Cersaie in 2017.
The works of the African-born architect are recognised internationally. Master of sustainable architecture, Kéré uses western techniques in an innovative way, adapting them to local materials and methods, keeping costs down while realising projects of good architectural quality.
Kéré set up a foundation to finance the construction of a school in Gando, his home village, whose project received the prestigious Aga Khan Prize in 2001. In 2005 he then founded his own studio, which has since received prestigious awards such as the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture, BSI Swiss Architectural Award and Marcus Prize.
A point of view on architecture with a broad international perspective, it's well worth listening to!
