The VOLTA Family | V1 Gallery (Copenhagen)
Beginning with their splashy 2007 Basel debut among VOLTA’s Nordic Focus section, this distinguished alum has defined the curated cool factor. Subsequent solo projects in NY — Peter Funch, Troels Carlsen, John Copeland, all drawing from V1’s international focus — segued into a series of incredibly ambitious Basel booths: from three alternate day total re-installations (2013), to mixed media ensemble “The Parlor” (2016), to a Geoff McFetridge solo lounge (2017), to 2018’s immersive “Tables, Pots & Plants: A Song for Matisse”. V1 opens a duo show by Danielle Orchard and Nikki Maloof this week and is accepting in-person viewings by appointment and DM (follow them on Instagram!).
