Pittore e poeta, Han Yuchen si esprime attraverso la calligrafia e la pittura a inchiostro su carta di riso, secondo l’uso antico cinese, così come con la pittura a olio su tela. Nel 2006 realizza il desiderio di recarsi in Tibet e dipingere dal vero sul Tetto del Mondo. Yuchen rappresenta la natura e le suggestioni di diverse aree culturali della Cina. Nel corso del suo lungo viaggio fra arte e poesia percorrendo molte strade, da Beijiing a Lhasa, ha colto e interpretato la memoria di un passato millenario. La sua opera restituisce al mondo una visione che abbraccia oriente e occidente, passato e contemporaneità, e permette all’osservatore di cogliere un senso di umanità, spiritualità e bellezza che accomuna tutte le civiltà. Durante la Florence Biennale 2019 ha ricevuto il premio Lorenzo il Magnifico del Presidente alla carriera. • Painter and poet, Han Yuchen expresses himself through historic artistic techniques from China, namely calligraphy and painting with ink on rice paper, as well as photography and oil painting on canvas. In 2006 his dream of visiting Tibet came true. He could finally paint on the “Roof of the World”. Yuchen represents nature, life, the traditions and enchantment of different cultural areas of China. During his long journey across art and poetry, while travelling along the ways from Beijiing to Lhasa, he has sensed and interpreted the memory of a millenary past. His work thus offers a vision embracing east and west, past and present, and allows us to perceive a sense of humanity, spirituality and beauty which unites all civilisation.
