Nuits Sonores 2020 : postponement of the 18th edition until 22—26 July First and foremost, the thoughts of everyone at Arty Farty go out to the victims of the epidemic and their families. We also wish to reiterate our wholehearted solidarity with health workers and all those on the front line fighting this epidemic. In the light of the international health crisis engendered by the coronavirus epidemic, the Arty Farty team have taken the decision to postpone the 18th edition of the Nuits Sonores festival. Originally scheduled for 19 to 24 May 2020, it will now take place from 22 to 26 July 2020 in Lyon. The festival’s core programmes (the three main Nights, its four “A day with…” programmes and the “Closing day” event) will take place on these new dates at the sites originally announced: La Sucrière and Le Sucre for the daytime programmes, and the former Fagor-Brandt factories for the Nights. The line-ups and the final format of the festival will be announced on 16 April. All festival tickets and passes already purchased will remain valid for these new dates. Ticket holders who are unable to attend the festival on these new dates will be sent an email with information on how to claim a refund after 16 April. As always, the festival’s audience and spectators remain our main priority and we will work, in a spirit of accountability and transparency, to keep them regularly updated with all developments. Everyone at Arty Farty and Culture Next is working in full compliance with the containment measures imposed by the authorities and healthcare staff to preserve the programming and spirit of Nuits Sonores. We stand in complete solidarity with our partners and service providers – in particular all the technical teams, the prefecture and the local authorities – as well as the volunteers and, of course, the artists who are committed to our cause. We thank them for their trust, their availability and their support for the festival. Stay at home! #nuitsso2020 (
