#ArtBucketChallenge anyone? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Xiao Lu is no stranger to cathartic moments. In ‘One’ (2015), her subject is captured dumping a bucket of black liquid over their head, stimulating their every sense in the name of art. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #FunFact: 26 years before Lu took this photograph, she rose to sudden fame thanks to a single work exhibited without her consent: ‘Dialogue’ (1989). She regained control over the piece by surprisingly destroying it in one shot. Ever since, confrontation, agency, and sovereignty have been central aspects of her practice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Visit @10ChanceryLaneGallery's virtual booth through March 25th to discover more works by seminal Chinese artists, via our Online Viewing Rooms. — To view and inquire about available works, visit bit.ly/artbaselOVR using your Art Basel account.
