Eye spy a fly!
—
Cheeky forms of disruption are at the core of Chim↑Pom’s practice. One can almost feel the itch in the Japanese artist collective’s work ‘Ellie’s fly’ (2014), presented by @Anomaly Tokyo for Art Basel’s inaugural Online Viewing Rooms.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
@EllieChimPom, under whose eye the insect sits, is not only one of @ChimPomArt’s five members: She’s also their muse. The puzzling situation in which Ellie finds herself exemplifies Chi↑Pom's taste for crafting intriguing, slightly surreal situations that make us question our own reality.
