Iranian artist Mojtaba Amini's bluntly morbid installations, paintings, sculptures, and assemblages deal with recollections from his childhood and reflect on the situation of people who have been banished from their homelands. Influenced by Joseph Beuys, Anselm Kiefer, and Shohre Feyzdjou, Amini's works make extensive use of non-traditional materials including leather, iron, sheepskin, soap and camel wool. The artist's work will be shown alongside pieces by Sasan Abri and Amir-Hossein Zanjani with Mohsen Gallery in Art Dubai's Contemporary section in March.
