The 2019 Platinum Fo

The 2019 Platinum Follicle Award, given for outstanding achievement in basic scientific or clinically-related research in hair pathophysiology or anatomy as it relates to hair restoration, was presented to Ratchathorn (Bonus) Panchaprateep, MD, FISHRS , of Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Panchaprateep joined ISHRS in 2010 and also is a diplomat of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. Following completion of her medical degree, she achieved a Master of Science in dermatology and was a fellow under ISHRS member Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich in 2013. She obtained her PhD in dermatology on the topic of hair follicle stem cells/regeneration in 2014. Dr. Panchaprateep has published more than 20 scientific publications and has dedicated her efforts towards the treatment and management of alopecia. A regular presenter of oral and poster communications at the ISHRS World Congress, Dr. Panchaprateep teaches at ISHRS meetings and remains at the forefront of the field due to her hard work and dedication.
