The 2019 Distinguish

The 2019 Distinguished Surgical Assistant Award honoring a surgical assistant with exemplary service and outstanding accomplishments in the field of hair restoration surgery was awarded to Aileen Ullrich of Tigard, Oregon, USA. Well known and admired in the ISHRS community for her dedication to educational endeavors and selfless commitment to helping others in the hair restoration community, Aileen began her career as a surgical assistant in 2005 and is an advocate for all surgical assistants. Attending her first ISHRS annual meeting in 2007 in Las Vegas, she has been involved in many subsequent annual meetings -- helping to set up, present and teach -- and also has been an integral part of many workshops worldwide. A member of the Surgical Assistants Committee, Aileen has also chaired the surgical assistant's program on more than one occasion.
