Workshops:

The OBSCURA Masterclasses is one of the leading photography masterclasses in the region. The programmes being run this year owes itself to the highly successful photography programmes OBSCURA has run since 2013 with some of the industry’s leading practitioners and tutors. Each of the 2020 programmes have been specially designed from the ground up to push photographers to rethink their approach to photography.

Alumni from previous programmes have gone to win major photographic prizes, including the World Press Photo award. These programmes are catered for emerging and experienced photographers. The workshops are a great place for building lasting friendships, networks and knowledge. It is a stepping stone to becoming part of the fabric of professional photographers, within and outside Asia, while creating work that is both meaningful and of the highest artistic standards.

What is happening at the Festival?

11 print exhibitions, 5 masterclasses, 4 workshops, 5 curated slideshows, a Photobook Show and talks by some of the best photographers in the industry.

OBSCURA Festival entry free ?

Entry to all the exhibitions, talks, slideshows and the Photobook Salon is free. The masterclases and workshops are at a nominal fee.
