Festival de Cine de Huesca will be held 12 to 20 Jun 2020 in Huesca, Spain. Festival de Cine de Huesca is one of the oldest short film festivals in Spain. It showcases a selection of the best Latin Amercican and international movies. The festival, whose main venue is the Teatro Olimpia theatre, has three official sections dedicated to short films. The winners in the main categories are qualified automatically to enter the Short Film contest of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.Huesca International Film Festival aims to promote cinematographic culture through short film by discovering innovative work in this field. The 44th edition of Huesca International Film Festival will be held from 17th to 25th June 2020 and it will consists of the following competitions:
The festival is open to fiction, documentary, animation and experimental short films. Though there are no thematic restrictions, TV series and tourism oriented or advertising short films are excluded.
Entrants may submit as many entries as desired. The inscription fee for each short film will be 1 Euro (apart from Festhome platform service cost
Short films entered must have been produced after January 1st, 2020 and have never been submitted to this festival in former editions.
Films will be submitted in their original language. If other than Spanish or English, films shall be compulsorily subtitled in Spanish or English.
Maximum length shall not exceed 30 minutes, except for documentary short films, that may run up to 40 minutes.

The Hollywood Academy supports Huesca International Film Festival by recognizing it as shortlisting for the Oscar Awards within Best Short Fiction Film category, also the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recognizes it for the Goya Awards.
