Awards & Prizes of Short Shorts Film Festival 2019:
- International, Asia International, Japan Competition:
- Best Short Award winner will receive 600,000 Yen (approx. US$7,200), in addition, the Audience Award winner will receive 200,000 Yen (approx. US$2,400).
- Also the Grand Prix, selected from three official competition (International, Asia International, Japan) will be eligible for the Academy Award® nomination in the short film categories for the following year.
International Short Film Pitch Contest:
- The top five pitches will be received 500,000 JPY. The Best Pitch out of the top five pitches will receive 1,000,000 JPY and also chance to make a short film with up to 100 million JPY.

Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) will be held 17 Jan 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) is one of the most important film festivals in Asia. started in 1999 and became an Academy of Motion Picture Art and Sciences accredited festival in 2004, where the winner of the Short Shorts' Grand Prix is eligible to receive an Academy Awards nomination. SSFF has now become one of the largest short film festivals in Asia. In 2004, SSFF received a request from the Governor of Tokyo to develop film programs showcasing Asian short films. This led to the established of the Short Shorts Film Festival Asia. Now, these two festivals take place in Harajuku and Omotesando, Tokyo simultaneously in June as the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia.
