Deadlock Kelvin Guide: Ice Support Build & Tips (2026)

Kelvin is the most versatile support in the game — constant healing, an ice highway that lets your whole team rotate, and a frozen dome that can save an ally or split the enemy in half. He's tanky, forgiving, and absolutely dominant in the ranks where most players sit. This guide reflects the current builds deadlock.io trackers show.

Quick answer: Kelvin is an ice support: heal allies and slow enemies with Frost Grenade, speed your team along Ice Path, kite divers with Arctic Beam, and save allies or zone the fight with the Frozen Shelter dome. Max Frost Grenade.

His abilities

Ability	What it does
Frost Grenade	Damages enemies AND heals allies in an area, with a slow. Two charges — your dual-purpose button.
Ice Path	Lay a floating ice trail that speeds you and allies. A team highway for rotations and escapes.
Arctic Beam	A sustained beam that ramps a movement and fire-rate slow. Great for kiting divers.
Frozen Shelter (ult)	A dome that heals allies and slows enemies inside. Save a teammate or split the fight.

🎮 Dota 2 players: he's Crystal Maiden meets Io — frost slows and team aura presence, with Ice Path as a Wisp-style mobility highway and a Disruptor-Kinetic-Field-flavored dome.

Build & leveling

• Early: Extra Charge, Extra Spirit, Enduring Speed, Healbane
• Core: Rapid Recharge, Superior Cooldown, Mystic Expansion
• Late: Boundless Spirit, Refresher, Divine Barrier

Ability order: a point in Arctic Beam early, then max Frost Grenade; take Frozen Shelter on cooldown.

Tips

• Aim Frost Grenade at your team for the heal, not just at enemies — it does both.
• Use Ice Path as a team highway, but path from safety — if you're interrupted, you fall.
• Don't dome your own carry into a corner — the walls are physical.

⚠ Note: Kelvin was nerfed in May 2026 — he's ~B-tier overall (~51% WR) but much stronger at low/mid ranks than at the very top. A superb beginner support either way.
