Haydn Festival will be held 03 to 06 Jun 2020 in Eisenstadt, Austria. Haydn Festival is a high point of the concert season which takes place annually in September. The works of Joseph Haydn are always at the heart of the festival. The musical focus is framed by the woks of other composers to show relationship, offer a comparison and contrast of Haydn’s works to other compositions. Furthermore, through the comparison of period instrument ensembles and “modern” orchestras, the public is given the opportunity for a direct comparison of various performing styles. Additionally, through the annual changing areas of focus, such as “Haydn and London”, “Haydn and Vocal Music”, “Hunting and Wine”, among others, access to the entire works of the master is made possible.
