Come along and experience operas, oratorios, concerts and much, much more as top-quality bridges between cultures, including to modern music categories. The programme includes Handel’s best-known works as well as some wonderful rediscoveries and new works.

International stars such as Christine Schäfer, Nathalie Stutzmann, Roberta Invernizzi, María Espada, Philippe Jaroussky, Franco Fagioli and Max Emanuel Cencic, as well as renowned ensembles such as the Zefiro Baroque orchestra, I Turchini and Il Pomo d’Oro from Italy, the London Handel Players, the Barucco ensemble from Austria, Collegium Vocale Gent from Belgium and outstanding German ensembles such as Concerto Köln and Lautten Compagney Berlin will be performing first-rate Baroque music for visitors to the 2020 Handel Festival.
Among the wide-ranging concerts featured in the Handel Festival are five different operas and two oratorios. “Handel and His Interpreters” is the theme to which the events – ranging from gala concerts and aria evenings right through to the academic conference – will be devoted and forms the heart of the programme in terms of content and dramaturgy.
