Co-hosted by Italy and Bulgaria, the 19^th staging of FIVB Men’s World Championship volleyball competitions will be held from September 9^th to September 30^th 2019. The team selection took place in Florence in Nov 30^th, and 24 participant teams were arranged in 4 pools each consisting of 6 teams.

Accordingly, Iran’s national volleyball team was co-grouped with Bulgaria, Poland (previous world championship winner), Cuba, Finland and Puerto Rico in Pool D. Iran’s games will be held in Varna, Bulgaria.

The first round of 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship is as follows:

Pool A in Florence, Italy: Italy, Argentina, Japan, Belgium, Slovenia, Dominican Republic

Pool B in Ruse, Bulgaria: Brazil, Canada, France, Egypt, China, Netherlands

Pool C in Bari, Italy: United States, Russia, Serbia, Australia, Tunisia, Cameroon

Pool D in Varna, Bulgaria: Bulgaria, Poland, Iran, Cuba, Finland, Puerto Rico

The top four teams from each pool will advance to the second round, featuring four pools of four teams playing in four cities.
