How Creamfields Began:
Cream , located at the Nation nightclub in Liverpool, is one of the best-known house music nightclubs in the world. From October 1992 to June 2002—Cream ran a weekly house music night each Saturday at Nation featuring various international DJ superstars.
The success of these weekly music nights led Cream to organizing its first international event in the award-winning nightclub Amnesia, on the party island of Ibiza, Spain. To this day, Amnesia continues to host Cream house music nights earning its title as the longest-running UK club night on the party isle. Propelled by this overseas success, Cream launched into the UK outdoor festival market in 1998—and Creamfields was born.
While hardcore partygoers could literally spend all summer dancing, the UK edition still sets the bar high when it comes to booking world famous DJs on exclusive deals and giving underground stars their big breaks. DJs who have played at UK and international events over the years are a house lovers' list of 'who's who,' including The Prodigy, Avicii, Carl Cox, David Guetta, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, AfroJack, The Chemical Brothers, and Armin van Buuren.
Creamfields 2020 Camping:
There are three levels of camping available over the three days—standard camping, hospitality camping and luxury camping, which are located approximately 100 meters (300 ft) from the event (so definitely bring earplugs when you want to get some rest). For those wanting a more luxurious camping experience, Hospitality campers receive an allocated campsite and access to facilities including hot showers, proper toilets (as opposed to portable toilets), as well as access to the standard campsite to visit any friends who may not have been so fortunate (or financially endowed).
Tip:
Get your tickets early. This is not the festival to leave it to the last minute to purchase your tickets. Creamfields is a festival that sells out!
Bring your camera. With so many performance stages and music acts crammed into three days, you'll want to try and capture every moment so that you can relive the fun later. Partygoers can bring non-professional cameras, but must obtain permission to bring a professional camera (SLR) into the event.
