Why Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2020?

This riotous festival is world-famous for its exuberance and wildness and lasts for upto three weeks. Carnival is celebrated in every town and village on the island, but the most spectacular carnival celebrations are to be found in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Puerto de la Cruz.

The Burial of the Sardine is the most irreverent and lighthearted show all Carnival, with which the end of the libertine party announced at a ceremony after a humorous and grotesque procession of mourners and items a burlesque own funeral , just with the purifying fire as a sacrificial event excesses , to make way for Lent , a time of religious and spiritual reflection.
